My Amazing first day at Cardigan, was when I learned about Regions

Day 1

On day one everyone met at the school and we took a bus to cardigan. When we got there everyone had lunch and got together with their AMC counselor. Once our group was ready we went out to hike the nature trail and along with that we also did the compass trail after. On the nature trail we crossed a river and saw a bunch of cool bugs and small animals. After that we did the compass trail and sketched a lot of trees and plants. At the top of the compass trail we found out that it was a ski slope because we saw a very old and broken down car at the top that used to be a rope pull for skiing. Once we were done with the compass trail we hiked back down to the Amc lodge and relaxed for a little bit and then ate dinner. Later we did the night hike and saw tons of stars. After the night hike we went back to the lodge and Mr. Woolner read us a story about blackbeard and goodnight moon. Finally we got back into our bunk rooms and Mr. Woolner gave us candy and we went to bed. We had a great first day at Cardigan

On day one there were a couple regions that we went through, a region being an area of land with a certain kind of trees/plants etc. Some regions that we passed through were the ski slope, the campground, the woods, a birch tree zone, and a river.
